Seartec introduces CloudFax
The world of Information Technology is fast-paced and rapidly evolving. New developments in IT are constantly emerging, however this does not mean that older technologies aren’t still relevant or useful. One such example is the facsimile or fax. Dating back to 1843 as a patent and concept the Scottish inventor, Alexander Bain, worked on chemical mechanical fax type devices and in 1846 was able to reproduce graphic signs in laboratory experiments. Over the next 100 years it took many shapes and forms.
Throughout the 1960’s the fax gained popularity in the commercial market and during the early 2000’s fax reached its peak. While in many instances being replaced by email, it still has a significant place in the business world. Although businesses usually maintain some kind of fax capability, the technology has faced increasing competition from internet-based alternatives. However, fax machines enjoy continuing support in the business environment. For example, in some countries, faxes are used because electronic signatures on contracts are not yet recognized by law, while faxed contracts with copies of signatures are.

Add new fax numbers to an account, delete old fax numbers from an account, re-route existing fax numbers to new email addresses or multifunction devices or access the archives for activity reports or historic faxes, with the touch of a few buttons.
CloudFax results in a dramatic reduction in communication costs, especially when long faxes are frequently exchanged with overseas or distant offices. Users can send and receive faxes from their MFPs, and no additional software, fax server or fax machine is needed.

- Login to the admin portal and view the traffic generated on all the inbound faxes received

- CloudFax invoices you for faxes sent out by your company
