On Thursday 27 December Seartec held long service awards to honour the dedicated staff members who have achieved milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and even 35 years of service to Seartec. This kind of achievement is rare in the office automation industry where staff turnover is statistically very high but Seartec has a dedicated team who remain at the company for many years allowing Seartec to retain its most valuable resources, its people! The awards were held in various offices around the country at the same time. 9 people in from Bedfordview, Vereeniging and Pretoria were honoured in Bedfordview, with the greatest number of years being recognised being 30 years for Mothaseli Andrew Pekeur. The awards at the warehouse in Tunney were held in the afternoon as part of the building opening of the new warehouse and opening of the new distribution centre. 18 people received awards with Eugene Collard being awarded 35 years of service. The awards at the warehouse totalled 350 years of service. Showing the wealth of experience held by the distribution and technical team.
One person in Bloemfontein reached a milestone this year, Gabrie van Rooyen who has been with the company for an impressive 20 years!
The Durban office had four people to honour with the largest milestone going to Clinton Vadivelu who has been with Seartec for 25 years.
Seartec Cape Town had 9 people to award for their many years of service to Seartec, adding up to total of 175 years of service. Two recipients were honoured for being with Seartec for 30 years: Neville Jantjies and Faizel Stark.
