Complimentary 30-Minute Assessment & R500 Professional Consultation Honorarium
The following terms and conditions apply to the promotional offer advertised by Seartec Trading (Pty) Ltd ("Seartec"):
1. Promotion Description
Eligible participants will receive:
- One (1) complimentary 30-minute business assessment conducted by Seartec; and
- One (1) Professional Consultation Honorarium valued at R500 for participation in the assessment.
2. Promotional Period
This promotion is valid from the date of publication until 14 September 2026 at 23:59 (SAST).
No registrations, bookings, claims, or participation requests received after this date will qualify for the promotion.
3. Eligibility
This promotion is available exclusively to:
- Registered legal firms, law practices, attorneys, advocates' chambers, conveyancing firms, and related legal service providers operating within Gauteng.
- Persons acting on behalf of a qualifying legal firm and authorised to engage with Seartec regarding business operations, technology, document management, printing, communications, or related services.
The promotion is not available to:
- Individuals acting in a personal capacity;
- Existing opportunities already in an active evaluation, quotation, procurement, or implementation process with Seartec;
- Employees, directors, agents, contractors, affiliates, or immediate family members of Seartec.
Seartec reserves the right to verify eligibility and request supporting documentation before granting participation.
4. One Offer Per Customer
The promotion is limited to:
- One (1) assessment per legal firm;
- One (1) R500 honorarium per legal firm;
- One (1) claim regardless of the number of branches, representatives, employees, or registrations submitted.
Duplicate, incomplete, fraudulent, or multiple entries may be disqualified at Seartec's sole discretion.
5. Limited Availability
The promotion is subject to availability and a limited number of assessment slots.
Assessments will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participation is not guaranteed once the available allocation has been exhausted, even if the promotional period has not yet expired.
6. Honorarium Conditions
The R500 Professional Consultation Honorarium:
- Is provided solely as a participation incentive.
- Will only be issued after completion of the scheduled assessment.
- Will not be paid where an appointment is cancelled, missed, shortened due to participant unavailability, or otherwise not completed.
- Is not transferable, exchangeable, refundable, or redeemable for cash unless otherwise required by applicable law.
- May be provided in a format determined by Seartec, including electronic voucher, gift card, EFT, or other approved mechanism.
7. Booking and Participation Requirements
Participants must:
- Provide accurate and complete contact information;
- Attend the assessment at the agreed date and time;
- Participate in good faith for the purpose of evaluating business opportunities, efficiencies, technologies, services, or solutions relevant to their firm.
Seartec reserves the right to refuse participation where information supplied is inaccurate, misleading, incomplete, or believed to be fraudulent.
8. No Obligation to Purchase
Participation in the assessment does not obligate the participant to purchase any Seartec products or services.
Similarly, Seartec is under no obligation to provide quotations, proposals, products, services, discounts, financing, or ongoing consultation beyond the scope of the complimentary assessment.
9. Right to Amend or Withdraw
Seartec reserves the right to:
- Modify, suspend, extend, or terminate the promotion at any time;
- Substitute the honorarium with an alternative item of equal or similar value;
- Reject applications that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions;
- Correct any administrative, technical, printing, communication, or promotional errors.
Any such decision shall be final and binding.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seartec shall not be liable for:
- Any loss, damage, cost, claim, or expense arising from participation in the promotion;
- Technical failures, website interruptions, communication delays, or booking errors;
- Unavailability of assessment slots;
- Any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages.
11. Personal Information
Any personal information supplied in connection with this promotion will be processed in accordance with applicable South African data protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), and Seartec's Privacy Policy.
Participants consent to the collection and use of their information for purposes relating to the administration of this promotion and legitimate business follow-up activities.
12. General
By participating in this promotion, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
These Competition Terms and Conditions shall apply to any Seartec Competition:
- These terms and conditions, together with the terms and conditions that are specific to any Competition (as defined below) (the ‘Competition Terms’) are known as the ‘Rules’. Words used in the Competition Terms shall have the same meaning when used here. In the event of any conflict between the Competition Terms and the Standard Terms, the Competition Terms shall prevail.
- Seartec reserve the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Competition and/or the Rules without notice for any event that is outside of Seartec’s reasonable control. Any changes to the Rules, or cancellation of the Competition, will be posted on the Seartec website (www.seartec.co.za). It is the responsibility of entrants to keep themselves informed as to any changes to the Rules.
- In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, the conduct or results of the Competition, or any other matter relating to a Competition, the decision of Seartec shall be final and unchangeable and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into, comment issued, or reason given in respect of any decision made by Seartec.
- By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you in your Entry is true, accurate and complete in every respect. Seartec reserves the right to verify any information contained in your Entry and/or your eligibility to enter the Competition.
- Unless otherwise stated in the Competition Terms, the Competition is only open to persons who are resident in South Africa and persons who are resident outside of the South Africa may not apply.
- The Competition is open to adults age 30 and above. Entrants may be required to provide proof of identity and if aged under 30, should be able to demonstrate to Seartec’s satisfaction that their parent/ guardian has given their consent to such entry.
- Seartec reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that an entrant has breached any of the Rules, any applicable law (including copyright law) or has otherwise infringed the intellectual property of any other person. Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that any failure to comply with the Rules could lead to Seartec disqualifying that person, without Seartec giving any reason for such disqualification or granting any opportunity for challenge.
- Any person that is: (a) an employee of any company involved in the Competition (including Seartec); or (b) a family member of such employee, is not eligible to enter the Competition. Seartec reserves the right to disqualify any person that it knows is, or has reasonable grounds to believe is, ineligible for the Competition as a result of this Rule.
- In the event that a Prize-winner is disqualified from the Competition, Seartec will, unless otherwise stated in the Competition Terms, select an alternative Prize-winner in the same manner as the original Prize-winner and such selection will be subject to the Rules.
- Entries must be made by the Closing Date and in the manner set out in the Competition Terms. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
- Your contract with us must still be valid during the prize draw.
- Unless otherwise stated in the Competition Terms, only one Entry per person is permitted. In the event that Seartec discovers or has reasonable grounds to believe that the same person has made multiple Entries, such person and any Entries made by them shall be disqualified and, if such Entrant has already been selected as a Prize-winner, an alternative Prize-winner will be selected in accordance with Rule 10 above.
- Unless otherwise set out in the Competition Terms, Seartec accepts no responsibility for the return of any Entries.
- Prize-winners will be selected and notified in the manner set out in the Competition Terms. No prize will be awarded where any entrant has committed any form of misconduct (as determined by Seartec in its sole discretion).
- Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. In the event of a prize being unavailable for any reason Seartec reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.
- Prizes must be accepted in the manner set out in the Prize Notification. In the event that any Prize Notification is returned as undeliverable or any Prize-winner fails to validly reply to a Prize Notification within 28 days, Seartec reserves the right to disqualify the Prize-winner and select an alternative Prize-winner in accordance with Rule 10 above.
- Seartec accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, injury (other than our liability for personal injury or death as a result of our negligence) or disappointment of any kind suffered by any entrant in entering the Competition, including as a result of any entrant winning or not winning any prize.
- Seartec accepts no responsibility for Entries lost, damaged or delayed in the post, or due to computer error in transit. Entries made online using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void.
